The most present security-related threat to expatriates and business travelers in Yangon is the threat of a traffic accident. Traffic congestion, and errant drivers are on the rise as Yangon struggles to build infrastructure fast enough to accommodate the influx of vehicles. In fact, an estimated 98% of vehicles are right-hand drive, driving on the right-hand side of the road; this presents fundamental safety concerns even when attempting to overtake a vehicle.

Our driver services cater exclusively to clients seeking a luxury vehicle (luxury SUVs, Vans, or sedans) with an emphasis on their protection. Our drivers have had additional training in tactical driving and emergency vehicle operation, emergency first response, and fire safety and extinguisher use. For the long term visitor or staff living and working in Myanmar, Scipio manages drivers and vehicles on a long term basis. Scipio services will manage the fuel, maintenance, insurance, and driver. Drivers can be full-time, actually living in your servants quarters, or for as little as regular occurring part time arrangements. Our drivers are bi-lingual English speakers and have specific and regularly updated training in tactical driving and emergency vehicle operation.

The emergency first response certification course is comprised of three levels of learning: independent study of a training manual to learn and review materials; instructional DVD to help reinforce knowledge; and instructor-led activities, scenarios, and skills trainings offering hands on application of knowledge.
3) Each driver is trained in Fire Safety and Extinguisher Use. When a fire occurs, your driver will know the location and use of each piece of your fire equipment. Instead of relying on intuition, your driver will have the memory recall of their training thereby increasing the response time and potentially avoiding a catastrophe.
